Petaluma Gap Wine Tasting
Wine & Art: A Sensory Celebration of Petaluma's Harvest and Artisans; join us for a collaborative event with 25 PGWA wineries & the artists from Petaluma Arts Center.
This event replaces the Wind to Wine tasting that fell through in August. I expect most of the same players to be pouring at this one, with the added benefits of being at a reliably cooler time of year, closer to home, cheaper and with some art thrown in. Plus, the new timing allows me to trot out a slew of new releases. Be sure to read the transportation guidance on the site, as there’s a shuttle involved in getting to and from the tasting at Beaumont Farms — likely a better idea than getting straight in your car post-tasting. Still, with 25 wineries pouring multiple wines, spitting is advisable. Use discount code WeLoveGapWines to get $10 off tickets.
Garagiste, Paso Robles
Heading back down to Paso, Garagiste’s home turf, to sling a bunch of new releases. These events are always fun, always an adventure. Use Promo Code PASOWINE2025 for 10% off tickets when you buy them here Paso Robles – November 2025 — Garagiste Wine Festival

Garagiste, Northern Exposure
Garagiste rolls into the Town of Sonoma at the height of Spring. Join us for an adventurous tasting at the Sonoma Veterans Memorial Hall.
Great Chefs and Wineries benefitting Lifehouse
This is a swanky fundraiser for a worthy Marin cause. Lots of high-end wineries, and me, pouring at a pre-dinner walk-around with the best food I’ve ever encountered at a tasting. A zillion options — you won’t get around to all of it. Bands, sit down dinner, auctions, dancing — it’s a full slate.

Cal Alumni Winemakers Tasting
This is the 3rd iteration of the Cal Alumni Association’s tasting of Cal Alums’ wines for their Graduate Wine Collective Wine Club. I’ve been to the first two and they were impressive. This one is in an even cooler venue — sunset in the University Club at the top of Memorial Stadium. I also participated in one of the Wine Club’s early offerings and will be in the running to do so again. I’ll be pouring the full lineup and hope to see your outstretched glass at my table.

Petaluma Gap, Wind to Wine Tasting Petaluma
These tastings have been outstanding in past years -- strong wines, across the board, that show their cool-climate pedigree. You can't go wrong at any table, after you've made your initial beeline to mine, of course. https://petalumagap.com/wind-to-wine-festival/

Rhone Rangers, Sonoma
I'm particularly pleased with the Rhone section of my own lineup at the moment and happy for any opportunity to blandish the syrah and viognier. I should have barrel samples (at least) of the next vintages of both wines ready to pour for this event also. Note that the tasting window is on the tight side, so it’s important to arrive on time. https://rhonerangers.org Use promo code RHONESUMMER for $20 off tix.

Garagiste, Glendale
Small wineries from all over the state tote their wares to SoCal. If you've ever thought that wine tastings were likely to be stuffy affairs, this is the event to disabuse you of that notion. We're an unpretentious lot, and the Garagiste events are always fun. HTTPS://WWW.GARAGISTEFESTIVAL.COM

Walnut Creek, Uncorked
I’m giving this event a whirl for the first time. I believe I’ll be posted and pouring in a Downtown Walnut Creek merchant’s shop. Swing by. https://walnutcreekdowntown.com/marquee-events/walnut-creek-uncorked/
Pop-Up at Auberge du Soleil, Rutherford
There's hardly a better way to spend an afternoon than with a platter of oysters and a crisp white (often, my viognier) on the deck at Auberge. When you can then wander over to my table to taste for free on the patio, the idyll is perfected. https://aubergeresorts.com/aubergedusoleil/
